Great Staughton
The Green, Great Staughton involved the construction of 12 traditionally built homes on a Greenfield site, comprising a mix of houses, apartments and bungalows designed to provide high-quality residential accommodation within a carefully planned development. The project included the full delivery of associated infrastructure, including a new access road, drainage systems, landscaping and external works.
The development was constructed using traditional building methods, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout. Each property features a durable composite slate roof covering and a high-quality buff brick façade, creating a timeless appearance that complements the character of the surrounding area.
Internally, the homes were completed to a high standard with modern fixtures, finishes and energy-efficient features throughout. Each property benefits from fitted kitchens, oak veneered doors and quality flooring finishes, including carpets throughout, providing comfortable and practical living spaces ready for residents to enjoy.
Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the scheme, with air source heat pumps installed to serve each property, providing efficient heating solutions and supporting reduced energy consumption. Provision has also been incorporated for future electric vehicle charging points, ensuring the development is equipped to meet the changing needs of residents.
Key features
Externally, the development was carefully designed to create a welcoming and attractive environment. Permeable access roads and allocated parking spaces were incorporated alongside landscaped green areas, providing residents with practical amenities while enhancing the overall setting of the scheme.
The project also delivered improvements for the wider community, including the renewal of an adjacent public footpath to improve connectivity and provide easier access to the local village. These enhancements help integrate the development into its surroundings while encouraging sustainable travel options.
Delivered by the project team of Gary Rush, Simon Beverley and Adam Fuller, The Green, Great Staughton demonstrates our ability to successfully deliver high-quality residential developments from the ground up, combining traditional construction techniques with modern sustainable technologies and considered design.
