Aspen are excellent at keeping to budget. No additional costs other than requests from the client or issues outside of Aspen’s control.

Aspen understood the client’s drivers, and this helped all parties making their willingness to assist and their agility very responsive to the clients needs. Their reporting and management on site were very good and they had clear lines of communications with everyone. They are particularly good at defusing any upset neighbours or residents.
The quality of the finished units was very good too with particular attention to details. Commercial matters were tightly controlled and the final accounts on schemes were quickly closed out. Defect free handover and minor repair items after defects period. Would happily work with Aspen again.”

Aspen Build (East Anglia) Ltd were the main contractor appointed under the JCT DB 2011 contract.
The contract was split into five phases commencing September 2018 and completing in March 2020. There were some slight delays due to Statutory Undertakers, but Aspen did everything they could to try and mitigate the problems.
There were a number of Client variations instructed changing the specifications and internal layouts resulting in an increase to the contract sum of c£280k, all of which Aspen provided detailed quotes for prior to instruction and were reviewed by us to ensure value for money. All costs received from Aspen were fair and reasonable.
The quality of the workmanship and professionalism of all their staff was extremely high and we would not hesitate to work with Aspen on other schemes.
