The first of three projects for London Borough of Redbridge within their second phase of reclamation and redevelopment of underused garage sites and open spaces to increase the number of much needed properties within their social housing stock.
The scheme consisted of the construction of 6 apartments, one double bedroom, three two-bedroom and two three-bedroom apartments each with either balcony or garden outside space. Within the building there was an internal bike store designed to accommodate two bikes for each apartment and a refuse collection area with keyed access. With the inclusion of features such as the car charging points, PV panels on the roof, future hoist routes within the timber frame design, future wet room compatibility and PAS24 and LPS1175 security rated windows and doors the project has been designed to comply with London Plan, Lifetime Homes, Code for Sustainable Homes level 4, Secured by Design and is covered by an LABC warranty.
